Chambre à louer

I rented this room for a month and couldn’t even manage to stay three weeks. The landlady is so stingy when it comes to water and electricity that I wasn’t allowed to take two showers a day, I couldn’t use the laundry machine before a certain time and I always had to have the hallway lights closed even if I was walking through it in the pitch black. She doesn’t offer you a key for your room and permits herself to enter when you’re not there. She enforces rules that she doesn’t even abide by such as not making any noise after a certain hour. Her and her daughter are always yelling at each other unapologetically which you can definitely hear because of the thin walls. Also the WiFi isn’t strong enough to reach the room. In the beginning we had initially agreed that I would help with the cleaning of the common areas which was fine by me I just asked that she explained to me what she wanted me to do (mop vacuumed etc) she did nothing of the sort then proceeded to tell me she wanted me to leave because I wasn’t doing any of the cleaning up. But luckily I was already ready to leave. By the first day I was looking for another place to stay. If you are a young student please do not stay here, I say this sincerely as a student who moved abroad for the first time. This lady is mean, passif agressive, and unfair.
